Massachusetts Center for Native American Awareness
Our mission is to assist Native American residents with basic needs and educational expenses; to provide opportunities for the expression and preservation of Native American cultural traditions; to advance public knowledge and understanding that helps dispel inaccurate information about Native Americans; and to work towards racial equality across the region.
Social Assistance Program:
The Program was created to assist Native Americans who reside in marginalized communities in the Commonwealth who are experiencing temporary financial hardship with no safety net. They include families, Elders, those that are disabled, the chronically ill, and other vulnerable Native residents who are at high risk for unmet heating bills, food insecurity, and in need of other basic essentials due to socio-economic disparities and lack of critical resources.
Assistance is provided during a period of temporary hardship, throughout the winter months, and in an emergency situation. Funds are paid by MCNAA directly to the service provider/vendors.
If you are a Native American living in Massachusetts and find yourself in need of help with any of these services, please reach out to us and we will provide you with the necessary paperwork to apply for assistance. E-mail us at: mcnaa@aol.com
